Fear is everywhere and I’m tired of it.   I’m tired of fearing what our government is going to do to this country. I’m tired of fearing what people think of me.  I’m tired of fearing what man can do to me.  I’m tired of fearing mankind. Proverbs 29:25a says, “The fear of man brings a snare.”  That is so true.  It brings needless worry, sleepless nights, terrible health, and a guilt-ridden cowards heart.  Which is why the second half of that verse is so encouraging.  It says, “But whoever trust in the Lord shall be safe.”  Now this is not a guarantee that if one trust in the Lord that no physical harm will come their way.  It’s communicating something even better.  It’s saying that despite all the harm man can bring your way, when you trust in the Lord, they can never take what matters the most; your relationship with God.  As the psalm 118:6 says, “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”  The answer is a whole lot temporarily, but absolutely nothing eternally.  Today, be encouraged.  All the fear this world is throwing at you is nothing worth being fearful about.  Why, because it won’t last.  Don’t waste your time.  What will last?  You with God, if you believe/trust in Lord through Jesus Christ.
