Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. - Philippians 4:6-7

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Who We Are

We are a small group of about 8 women who get together on Mondays from 3 pm to 8 pm at First Baptist Church of Eaton Rapids. Ladies drop in @ their convenience with hooks and needles in hand.

What We Do

We share Christ's love by knitting and crocheting for others. We work on individual projects or make squares for group projects. Some ladies stop in after work and we share soup and bread at about 5:30 pm.

We share an encouraging devotional in which we are challenged to continue to serve the Lord as He leads us. We pray for past prayer shawl recipients and future prayer shawl recipients which includes people going through difficult times, for babies when they are dedicated and for newly-weds apart of our church.

Join Us!

If you are interested in knitting or crocheting and want to be apart of a relaxing time of prayer and community, we invite you to join us! If you are new to hooks and needles, we will teach you and help you along the way. If you have any questions, please feel free to call or email the church office.

Prayer Meetings

What We Do

We know that the power of prayer does not flow from us, but rather the power lies in the God to whom we are praying, the one who hears our prayers and answers according to His good purposes. One of FBC's core values is to regularly enter into conversation with our Father both individually and corporately and so have a number of opportunities for you to join us in corporate (group) prayer through-out the week -

1. We hold a mid-week prayer meeting, every Wednesday at 7pm in the classroom across from the church office. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

2. We have Sunday prayer warriors who serve on a rotational basis, praying during church service in one of the unoccupied classrooms over the message being preached and the prayer cards that are submitted during the service.

3. We have a prayer-chain that stays in regular communication over the needs of our church body and are committed to praying individually throughout the week as those needs come in.

Submit a Prayer Request or Get Involved

If you are interested in getting involved in some capacity with the prayer ministry or have further questions about what prayer is or how/why we partake in it or have a prayer request to submit please contact us.
