Homeschool CO-OP

FBC's Homeschool Cooperative

FBC's Homeschool Co-Op is a ministry and cooperative effort on the part of families of First Baptist Church of Eaton Rapids. The families who participate do so out of a desire to work together, making use of the various gifts, talents, expertise, and experiences the Lord has given them to serve other homeschooling families in the Body of Christ.

When does the CO-OP Meet?

Our co-op meets Thursdays from 9am-12pm during the school year.

Is there a cost?

There is a $50 per family yearly registration fee to help cover the costs for supplies.

What are the primary goals of the CO-OP?

Our primary goal is to glorify God by providing support for homeschooling families and Godly fellowship and friendship for their children. In all our subjects we point to Jesus Christ as the creator and author of every subject. We teach that apart from God there would be no language, no science, no history of which to teach.

Do I have to be a member of FBC in order to participate?

We do not require membership however we do require all those in attendance to submit to our doctrines and teachings and agree not to teach anything contradictory to our church’s stated beliefs. The lead teacher of each class is required to be a member of FBC. Parents who are not members serve in the classroom as a helper and back-up for the lead teacher.
Our beliefs statement can be found here: https://fbcofer.org/about/beliefs/
And our teaching on social issues document can be found here: https://fbcofer.org/about/teaching-on-social-issues/
