Good Morning Everyone,

I would like to share some of my thoughts with you. In our world today with the internet we have access to all kinds of information. It can get confusing sometimes. How do we know what is true?  In this world, things are changing all the time. It is so easy to get caught up in it all, thinking we have all the right information and forgetting other people’s feelings in the midst. But, one truth we can hang onto is we have a constant God who is faithful and true.According to Revelation 22:13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.”

He has given us the only source of truth His word the bible. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.”

Let’s not get so caught up in ourselves that we forget about others, their feelings, and their thoughts. Let us ask ourselves, are we living out Philippians 2:1-9? “So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.  Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.  Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.  Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.  And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,”

Let us read God’s word, listen, and be a doer of His word according to James 1:19-27. “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and rampant wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.  But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like.  But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing. If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless. Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”

Let us be encouraged by Jesus, who was also tempted and tried, but loved us so much that He gave His life for us and now is our advocate.

Blessings, DeWayne
